Separator 4÷20mA HART T824H

Separator 4÷20mA, T824H

The T824H separator copies the input 4÷20mA current to the output with error lower than 0.1% maintaining galvanic separation between these circuits. Besides passing the low-frequency analog signal, the separator ensures two-way transmission of digital signals coded with Bell 202 modulation used, between others, in HART communication standard. The separator also contains a supply section - a DC/DC converter galvanically separated form both input and output. It may be used to supply a transmitter connected to input and/or configure separator's output as active current source.

Separator's input may accommodate 2-, 3-, or 4-wire transmitter, and its output may work in passive or active configuration. The separator may also provide galvanic isolation for current-controlled actuators with HART communication. T824H is not just transparent to digital communication - active filtering reduces any interfering signals of frequencies outside of the communication band.

The separator does not contain any configuration switches - desired configuration is obtained by connection to appropriate terminals.

Passive separator T924s-PS

Passive separator T924s-PS

Passive separator introduces galvanic separation into 4÷20mA line by simply cutting the line and connecting it back through the separator. T924s-PS copies the input current loop signal on output while transferring most of energy from output to input and thus supplying any loop transmitter connected there. Separator uses certain amount of energy which translates to additional voltage drop of < 4V that effectively adds to circuit voltage drop. For example, assuming 24V supply of output loop and 50Ω of output current measuring resistor, about 19V is left for input transmitter supply (at IIN = IOUT = 20mA).

Passive separator T924P1

Passive separator T924P1

T924P1 is a passive separator which introduces galvanic separation into 4÷20mA line by simply cutting the line and connecting it back through the separator. Separator uses small amount of input signal energy which translates to additional voltage drop of 2.7V that effectively adds to voltage drop on load resistance.

Passive separator T924P3

3 channel separator T924P3

T924P3 contains three identical passive separators - each may easily introduce galvanic separation into 4÷20mA line by simply cutting the line and connecting it back through the separator. Every channel uses small amount of input signal energy which translates to additional voltage drop of 2.7V that effectively adds to voltage drop on load resistance.

Universal separators T837, T838

Universal separators T837 and T838

T837 & T838 galvanically isolate chosen standard analog signal (0÷20mA, 4÷20mA, 0÷10V, or 1÷5V) or convert it into another standard analog signal. Power supply (24Vdc) is also galvanically separated from both input and output. Input signal level is visualized directly by LED color - from green at minimal to red at maximal level of input signal.

Due to high resolution (0.5µA or 250µV) and small noise level, output precisely reflects state of the input signal. All signal ranges are factory calibrated which, coupled with low temperature coefficient (typ. ±30ppm/ºC), ensures accurate signal conversion in wide ambient temperature range, regardless of input/output signal combination. Efficient internal DC-DC converter reduces power requirements (supply current below 25mA while outputting 20mA).

The T838 has additional input, able to supply up to 18V at 20mA to passive 4÷20mA transmitters.

Analog signal controller T818M

Analog signal controller T818M

The T818M allows to control analog signal with two momentary switches - closing one switch causes rise of signal, while closing the other makes the signal fall at constant rate. The same switches allow to choose one of practical values of rise/fall rate. Thanks to high resolution (0.5µA or 250µV), output signal changes smoothly even at low rates. Front-mounted LED changes color depending on signal (from green at minimal to red at maximal level of output signal). Power supply input (24Vdc) is galvanically separated from output and control inputs. State of output signal is stored in nonvolatile memory, so there's no risk of loosing the setting due to power failure.
